This book is about the issues regarding the wild horses living in the Cold Creek area of Southern Nevada. The book was co-authored by Julie Von Tobel Gleason and myself. I took every photograph in the book while on visits to the area and created the layout, typography, and other graphic design elements as well. It's a controversial topic because there is an overpopulation of horses in comparison to the amount the land can sustain. Visitors see the horses starving and leave food for them by the side of the road, which leads to these horses being involved in car accidents as well as starving more severely because they stay by the roadside rather than foraging for themselves and their herd. There are other issues about the mustangs and the range conditions discussed in the book as well. The book is meant to be an easily understood way for readers to learn about the topic so they can become informed about the issues rather than believing the circulating rumors put out by various groups for political or monetary gain.
